Symposium
Energy transition on a global scale
The inaugural symposium of the Franco-Australian Centre for Energy Transition, known as the FACET Symposium, was held on 28-29 October 2024, supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE).
This significant collaborative event signifies a robust partnership between the two nations in the domain of energy transition.

The event will cover critical topics including new fuels, AI and energy transition, low-carbon energy production (such as solar/photovoltaics and hydrogen), and critical minerals.
Day one of the symposium will focus on institutional discussions, setting the stage for collaborative dialogue.
On the second day, the focus will pivot to a blend of keynote addresses, comprehensive overviews, cross- sector panel discussions, and expert-led sessions. These sessions will showcase perspectives from prominent academics and industry leaders in the energy sector.
