A historic, climate change focused partnership between France and Australia - FACET: the Franco-Australian Centre for Energy Transition.
Co-led by CEA, Université Grenoble-Alpes and Swinburne University of Technology (which is also the host of the centre), the Franco-Australian Centre for Energy Transition (FACET) further strengthens Australia and France’s bilateral relationship through strategic collaboration on sustainable and inclusive energy initiatives, while also supporting the energy transition needs in the Indo-Pacific region.
The FACET Steering Committee contributes to the work of FACET’s research, innovation, education and training activities by offering the leadership team critical advice, expertise and guidance.

Professor Allison Kealy is the Director of the Innovative Planet Research Institute at Swinburne University. Prior to this Professor Kealy was the Executive Director Surveying and Spatial within the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning. Allison has also held academic positions in Geodesy and Satellite Positioning at RMIT and Melbourne Universities and was Acting Chief Research Officer in the SmartSAT CRC and Deputy Director of RMIT’s Defence Research Centre. Professor Kealy is a Fellow of the International Association of Geodesy (IAG), and of the Royal Institute of Navigation.
In December 2023, Prune Bokobza “Prue” was appointed coordinator for the newly launched French-Australian Centre for Energy Transition (FACET), supported by the French Foreign Affairs Ministry and DFAT. A graduate of the Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) in Paris, she moved to Melbourne in April 2022 after working on decarbonization and energy policies at the CEA research and innovation center at the Embassy of France in Japan. In Australia, Prue initially focused on developing French-Australian cooperation in hydrogen and renewable energy, facilitating connections between stakeholders, and fostering collaborations on production and supply chain development projects. She is also involved in the French startup ecosystem, "La French Tech Australia," with a focus on GreenTech.
